Sumit has informed me that he will be flying into PDX on May 19th so that we can climb Mt Hood on the 20th or 21st depending on weather and conditions. He will be here through the 26th so we actually have a week long window to get this done if we need it. For those of you that are concerned this is the standard southern route in spring and not the northern route in winter that just claimed the lives of 3 fellow climbers. After Hood the plan is to scale Adams, South and Middle Sister (1 weekend) and Rainer later in the summer. There are 20 training weekends left until the climb. This weekend is my annual New Years day hike in the gorge. Wonder if it will be Wind, Snow or Rain this year?
